Why is James so passionate about creating world class portraits?

If these last few years have taught us anything it is that life is fragile and unexpected can happen.  There is a quality about a classic portrait that creates a memory that can be passed on for generations.

James has trained both in the U.S. and internationally with some of the top photographers in the world.  He developed his classic style based on the look of the old world master painters.  His signature backdrop was custom designed to draw out the subject from background and compliment the skin tones to give a similar look found in many museum art pieces.

 

The portrait process

 

The portrait process begins with the subject wearing timeless clothing that allows for the portrait to be enjoyed for generations without depicting an era.  The process continues with the posing, lighting, backdrop and structure all lending to the look of the old master paintings.  The portrait is then artistically enhanced to bring out the best features and qualities of the subjects.  It is then printed on canvas where the emulsion layer is stripped and hand  lacquered with multiple coats to preserve this work of art for the enjoyment of many generations.
